I had a mound of clay left over from working a bowl. I formed it into a rectangle. I was able to cut it into four slices. This is one of the slices. I drew the face and used glazes to colour the piece.

Great Show
Had a great show yesterday. Very nice feedback. Looking forward to finishing some writing when I am on the farm this week. Wish I had room to paint there but there will be great winter photography.

White clay was pressed into a mould. After first firing I rubbed underglaze on to the clay for a faded look. Then it was clear glazed for the final firing. There is a hanger on the back so it can be mounted on a wall.

Using a wood grain stamp the pattern was repeated all over white clay. The clay was then put on a plate mould and shaped. After a first firing teal glaze was rubbed into the pattern. Then the final firing took place. One of a kind.

The reason of paint
I started three new paintings the other day. I cannot work on just one at a time for some reason. I have about 27 more that are in the works. I guess I have to be in the right frame of mind and with the right time to work on different pieces. One of them has been in the painting stage for over 8 months. A number are in the sketch stage waiting for the first drop of paint. Others are in limbo. I must need to learn or get to another frame of mind to work on them. Bingo!
